Walking across the “Tross” or town, I found her limping from tent to tent. She had sadly stepped on a burning coal in bare feet and could hardly put her foot down.
I helped her to the tavern where she could stay – the Jollie Rouge.
We sat and I sang her a song… I asked her name – it was Mona……
